ಹುಡುಗಿಯೊಂದು ಕಣ್ಮು೦ದೆ ಬಂದಾಗ,
ಭಾವವೇ ಕೊಂದಿತು ನನ್ನ ಅಂಧಕಾರ!
ಮನವ ಮುಟ್ಟುವ ಮಾತಾದಾಗ,
ಮನದಲೆ ಮನೆ ಮಾಡಿ ಮಲಗಿತು ಆಹಾಕಾರ!
ಚಿತ್ತವ ತಿದ್ದಿ ತೀಡಿ ದಾರಿ ತೋರಿದಳು
ದೇವತೆಯೇ ಕನಸಲ್ಲಿ ಬಂದು ವರ ಇತ್ತಂಗಾಯ್ತು
ವೈರಿಯ ಗುರುತಿಸಿಸಿ ಗೆಳತಿಯಾದಳವಳು
ಗೆಳತಿಯನ್ನೇ ವರಿಸಿ ಜೀವನವೇ ಧನ್ಯವಾದ೦ತಾಯ್ತು
ಮನದೊಡತಿಯಾದಳೆನ್ನೊಡತಿ
ಬೆಚ್ಚನೆ ತನುಮನುವತಣಿಸಿ…!
ಹಚ್ಚಿದೆ ದೀಪವ ನನ್ನ ಜಗತ್ತೇ ಬೆಳಗಲು
ಅಂತು ಇಂತು ಹೊಸ ಜೀವನ ಬಂತು
