Raghu Dixit’s “Just Maath Maathali”, yellara “Kivi Kiviyali” !

July 6, 2009

Predicting whether an audio album would be a superhit, or hit or avg or whether it goes away unnoticed is hard anytime. But here is a movie for which we can say, the movie would get the best possible support from music even before the music release has happened !

How is it possible? Which is that movie?

Before answering these questions, let me tell you just one thing.
THE MUSIC DIRECTOR of THIS MOVIE is, RAGHU DIXIT !

Just Maath Maathalli

Just Maath Maathalli

Haan, Now I think you would have already believed my words! But now that I already have plans of completing this audio-preview, I shall do it ! ;)
Just Maath Maathali” is Sudeep’s next movie, for which Raghu Dixit owns the Music department. I used to listen to the half done tracks since they evolved, as I keep visiting Raghu Dixit at his studio. I always had a very good opinion about the tunes of JMM. But now, he has finished composing and recording of 6 songs for it, and it would be out in markets soon !

One unique stuff about JMM is that, every song looks like, to be a title song, because the phrase,  “just maath maathali” is at a prominent place in the lyric of all songs in this album.

Just Maath Maathalli, She stole my heart away… is supposed to be the main title song, as the JMM phrase comes atleast 12 times in the song ;) RD, excuse me if my count was wrong ! This is an extremely beautiful track, sung by RD himself. The song starts off in typical RD style (am probably referring to psycho here), but when the phrase JMM starts repeating, it really steals your heart away and moreover RD had showed his voice-range again in this track.
Now this tune gets more special, because RD has  sung the Reprise of it too, just that, now its seems to be in a Sad mood and with less tempo. The words, “Idu kanaso nanaso? kaNhaniyo arivo ?” sounds touching!

Just Maath Maathalli

Just Maath Maathalli

Din’t I speak about the heroine of this movie? Oops.. Yes, I did a mistake! Heroine is one of my favourites.. Yes, Ramya ! Oooo Ooo Oooo Oooo! Why am I “Ooo”ing so much!? Oh man! it just comes naturally ;) ! Yes, Ramya deserves a solo song to act for in this movie, and Raghu Dixit has done the magic for her too. The song “Yello“, with fast beats, has been sung marvellously by “Saindhavi” of Mussanje Rangalli(Psycho) fame. The song starts of with background “Oooo”ing in RD’s voice in an interesting tune(tune is mindblowing), and also follows at places in the song, with haLLi kannada style Rapping (with JMM phrase) in his voice. Saindhavi takes up the melody part in this song excellently.

Right after this, I heard the Travel song. Looks like this song would get picturised in London, and hence you can see the best use of Bagpiper-ish background music for this song. It starts with the lyrics “marubhoomiyallu“,  sung by Karthik, who has an excellent voice, but has somewhat imitated Raghu Dixit’s style of singing in the song! But ofcourse, nothing negative, as he has added his value to the song, by giving the “perfection” touch to the song. Karthik was the perfect choice for the song is what I felt. The beats with the music and karthik’s voice, when he says “Heege Just Maath Maathalli“, and the way the bagpiper picks up from there, in this song is really awesome.

Raghu Dixit Rocks…
! Yes, we all know that.. why suddenly? Lol.. That’s because, the next song I heard was a Stage performance Rock song. “Just Maath Maathalli, Just KaNkaNNalli” rock song, starts off with the singer making the audience sing “Na.. Na Na Na Na” (just as in RockOn.. ofcourse different tune boss!) and then the singer starts of with his Electric Distortion Guitar. Singer of the song is none other than Raghu Dixit again! Middle of this song has a surprise… Lakshmi Manamohan, of “Ee Touchali” fame, has 2 soft lines to sing in this song too!

Last but not the least, is an exciting news! Kaise Mujhe Tum Mil Gaye.. Huh!? Bollywood song yaake banthu eega? Ofcourse, for Benny Dayal! Benny Dayal’s second song in Kannada (other one is from LoveGuru movie) is from JustMaathMaathali. This song is very very different song… You can listen to a different mood of music in this song. The song makes you involve so much in to it, that a little bit of distraction would create some dissatisfaction in you and would make you listen to the song from START again! Benny Dayal does a very good job with Kannada too. The way he sings “Baanallu neene.. Bhuviyallu neene” lines in the song is impressive!

And yes, that was the end of JMM track listening session for me! But the tracks are still echo-ing in my ears! Iam sure this would be the superhit album of 2009.

Hats off RD. In my earlier preview of RD’s Superman tracks (Click here), I remember having mentioned, “Look, A R Rahman of Kannada is here! Catch him“!, and now my above preview supports this Quote again!

Bangalore, Beware of Petrol Bunks!

June 28, 2009

I usually get petrol filled for Rs.200/- every time if its my 2-wheeler… Rs.500, otherwise. Most of your might have had bad experiences in a petrol bunk, like say, they dont start off from ZERO mark, or may be they dont put for Rs.200 fully and end at, Rs.199 only! :) or may be something else!

PETROL BUNK, BANNERGHATTA ROAD

PETROL BUNK, BANNERGHATTA ROAD

I will narrate you one such bad experience I used to have at Petrol Bunks in Bangalore. The petrol bunk, opp. to my office on banneghatta road is one such place, where anyone can have a bad experience for FREE of COST ! :D hehehe.

The usual Trick, played by petrol bunk service men are like this : The billing person or another service men, would stand right next to you, along with the service-man who would have his Petrol Pipe in his hand, ready to pump the petrol for you.

Way 1 :

You might say “Innoru rupaaayi” or “Two Hundred Rupees” to the person. He will start putting petrol and stop exactly at Rs.100 . If at all you notice that, he has put petrol for only Rs.100, you will ask him.. He will act as if he heard us saying it as Rs.100 only ! and again restarts the pump from 0 and puts upto Rs.100. This has happenned to many people, who have even asked the person to pump petrol for Rs.100 and he ends up saying he heard it as Rs.50 only! Aaw Gawd!

Way 2:

This way, is pretty interesting and very bad too. You ask the person to put petrol for Rs.200. The other service-man or the billing person who is right next to you, will ask a waste question to you.. like .. “Sir,.. Cash or Credit card?” .. or “Sir. if you pay by ICICI credit card you will get 5% cashback” (as if credit card users wouldnt know, or other credit cards wont give the cashback!), or “Sir… Petrol tank opening-alli koLe ide.. Service-ge koTTaaga clean maaDsi!” … etc etc.. Something like this. Beware of Such questions !! They are just to Distract you from the Reading! The PETROL PUMPS have a mechanism such that, even though it looks like it starts from zero, it quickly jumps to a preset number, like 40 or 50. So for people filling for Rs.200 or above, they cant make out the difference much, is their idea(especially for the 4 wheelers). With 2 wheeler drivers, they try to distract them with some weird question or offer, and make them turn over their side for a second or two.. Within this time, the service-man would have started putting the petrol, and by the time you turn towards the other side, to see the reading, the METER looks very much fine, showing rs.40 on it and smoothly running!

In case, you dont get distracted by the other service man, and you are staring the METER all the time, then the moment the person who is supposed to pump the petrol realises it, he goes and resets the, already Reset Petrol Pump! (This is just to ensure that, the pump meter doesnt jump off to rs.40 or so, as the customer is staring at it.. basically, he doesnt want to get caught red-handed! :D )

So next time you go to the petrol bunk, make sure

1. You stare the meter, from starting .. till end.

2. Dont get distracted by anything else, while you get your petrol filled up.

3. Get down your car to monitor whether he is really filling the all of the petrol in your tank only!

4. Enquire the service-person about it, if you see that speed of the petrol pump meter varies continiously all through the filling up process.

5.  Dont let the service-man happy, if he says, he heard it as just rs.100 or rs.50, when you have ordered for rs.200 !

6. DONT USE MOBILE PHONES inside PETROL BUNKS lolz ! Service-men would be eyeing such people, the most !

Kashmeeri Krishna

May 27, 2009

God is omnipresent! (You may know, “god” means something else to me, as an atheist). Man should visualize god in everything around him, in order to love and serve all.

This small poem again brings out the same point, by visualizing the black mountains as Lord Krishna (Krishna == Black in sanskrit), and the snow caps formed through the fall from the clouds reaching the mountains,  as the butter that he loves the most. The rivers flowing around the mountains symbolise the ksheerasaagara around the God.

Kashmir is the land of Krishna, no doubt!

When I met Kannada Superstar Upendra the first time….

May 26, 2009

Note : The Mp3 links of the chat, have been updated in the blog below!

Its an obvious thing for many of friends that Iam a fan of Upendra, the kannada superstar/real star.  I had been such a mad fan while at college, that I used to enact/direct Uppi’s mimicry based roles on stage, watch Uppi’s movies multiple times etc. I have had a glimpse of the actor many times in heavy rush from far off. I have been always contented with it, because he is a role model for me, for my THINKING and WRITING skills.

On May25th 2009, I got a call from Kiran Sreedhar, RJ, Radio City 91.1FM. He is my very good friend and we have done a lot of recordings together before. This call was also for a recording for RadioCity, but it was something special. Kiran told me that we have Upendra in the Studio and we have to record something special. So I directed a sequence for him and myself, wherein Upendra calls me and tells that its Upendra speaking. So I keep saying that its some prank call on me and you are not Upendra.. The sequence takes a lot of funny dialogues and twists and finally after a minute, kiran interferes and says, it was not a prank call, it was really Upendra who called me up and I had become a bakra again by not believing him! Upendra was very happy about how it came out.

Soon after this, I messaged Kiran and thanked him for making me speak to my superstar. He asked me to come over the RadioCity so that we all can meet. I was very much excited, Rushed to the Studio in just 5 mins!

The moment Uppi came out of the Studios, the moment I saw him, the feeling was exactly similar to a person who would have done a penance for 9 years for God, and finally would have got darshan at the end of 9 years. I shook hands with him and told him, its me who spoke to him during the recording on phone. He was very happy to see me and he said, “ayyo allello idri, ille banbiTTideera eega!”. Kiran explained how i came so fast to the studio.

Upendra exclaimed. “Neevu bahala chennagi mathaaDtheera. Kiran kooDa heLthidda”. I was again happy to hear this. We all (Kiran , Uppi, Me, Rj Pradeepa etc ) went to a NO MAN’s LAND in the same building. It was photo session time. Kiran took my photos in RJ Pradeepa’s camera. Soon after this, we all had a cup of coffee together, chatting about the problems in the multiplexes, the negatives of kannada producers and other stuff.

Now Upendra was getting late and he had to leave. We went upto the parking lot to bid a bye to him. He had come in his black AUDI car to the studio. Best part was, he had no driver. Hee Hee. (ofcourse, why do you have to give the costliest car to a driver to drive!?)

It was a fantastic experience for me to meet Upendra. Here is the AUDIO CLIP of the DISCUSSION we had.

Being Well Known!

April 14, 2009
Abhishek

Abhishek

I meet up new people everyday and end up getting close to them easily” – I remember putting such a status message in gtalk once. I usually want my friends to be updated with whatever Iam doing or whatever Iam completely. I keep posting or discussing about it in my website Maja Maadi or keep putting such status messages or even sometimes MASS-EMAIL to the huge list I maintain. All this is fine boss… But what about the new friends I get ? I mean, how do I let them know what Iam… Yes, I can chat and let them know !! But it cant go on everyday ! So decided to Speak about myself in this blog so that it gets simpler to share just this link, rather than typing everything that he/she might be interested in!

I know, many of you might have already started laughing reading the purpose of this blog! Lol .. no issues.. Ofcourse, Laugh is a form of Maja ! Maja Maadi ! :D

This is ABHISHEK S N ! Sex : Male ! DoB : 13th Feb 1984 .

Schooling :

  1. New Horizon Public School [ LKG to 2nd STD]
  2. Good Shepherd School [3rd to 7th]
  3. Nehru Smaraka Vidya Kendra [8th to 10th]
  4. Vijaya Main College [PU]
  5. University Visveswaraya college of Engineering (UVCE) [B.E, Computer Science]

Got an offer letter from 4 Software companies while at college. Chose to opt LUCENT TECHNOLOGIES as I was interested in networking protocols and innovations happening in Networking Industry. Worked there for 1.5 years. Moved to CISCO SYSTEMS from there on Jan 2007. Iam currently still working at Cisco ;) !

Now back to Personal Information :D ! Iam the only son for my parents and Iam happily married to Shilpa R, who was my college mate during B.E days.  Oh ya! Am just 25 when Iam writing this blog, and if you think It was too early to get married, I actually got married a year back when I was 24 :) ! Hee Hee ! Love Marriage…. Can’t keep pushing for long ;) !

No one can explain himself satisfactorily to others“. – abhishek !

This statement is very true because, for a complex subject that you understand very very well, you need a lot of time to explain it to the other party. But, unfortunately the other party wont have so much time to listen to you. Hence you always not satisfied about what you have told about yourself to somebody when you are supposed to. Hmm ok ok ! Ignoring this PROVERB created by me only, Iam moving forward to explain more about the things that I should be proud of.

  • Iam enthusiastic about software engineering, Networking and Innovation etc.
  • Have sang and acted in many Radio Plays since the age of 12 at ALL INDIA RADIO.
  • Iam not a trained singer at all. I know nothing about Theoritical Music. But I have some knowledge about what is right and what is wrong in music, eg: about the TaaLa, Raaga, Shruthi etc.
  • My voice is pretty interesting and Iam a decent singer who have won some local music competitions related to movie music. Some people really love my singing ;) Hope the number increases.
  • My one more passion is poetry. I have posted a lot of poems on my blog until now. Everyone gives positive and encouraging comments on my poems. I write poems related to personal feelings and also mass appeal.
  • Story Scripting is another huge passion that I own. I have written a lot of stories and published few of them on Internet also. For some of the stories, I have even written a scene by scene detailed script with the dialogues too. I have published the same as episodes in my blogs. Readers have definitely, no doubt liked those episodes very much.
  • Music composition is another hobby which Iam not very much confident about , but still I beleive its a great point.  I have written about my music composition experiments in a different blog here, where I say that, I keep making exciting tunes vocally. But, as I dont know theoritical music, its tough to record it on paper or program it on software. Recently, I learnt to use the software FRUITY LOOPS myself (as mentioned in that blog) where Iam programming music for my listeners. Each and every music that I have made is rocking in the ears of the listeners, everytime they listen to it.
  • Exploring New softwares, Surfing the web is another habit I have. But I dont surf the web for news and other stuff usually. I surf to find out new facilities, new technologies on the web and the sites which provide great online features. 2 years back, Internet was not so strong, and hence I used to experiment with new softwares, by installing on the computer and uninstalling it after evaluation. Now that the; Internet is the Platform’ is coming in to picture, a lot of sites with advanced WEB 2.0 features have come up, keeping me busy.
  • Kannada Movie Buff. I claim that I watch all kannada movies that comes to theatre ( Really not true these days. But still I watch a majority of them and write reviews too sometimes).
  • Social Networking . Probably the best thing I have done until now is MAJA MAADI, which is a great tool for social networking. Maja Maadi is the biggest discussion forum for kannadigas, having around 6100 registered members and more than 2.5 lakh posts from members. Register to beleive the fun ! Besides this, Iam very active on other forums and popular social networking sites like Orkut, Facebook etc.
  • Acting. Yes Acting is one more thing I would love to do. Have done some acting for plays that I myself have directed on stage since college days. Have even acted in a short movie directed by me.
  • Movie Making. Yes.. Thats one of my Final Destinations. Iam too much crazy about movies and movie making. As I already mentioned, I write scripts and visualize them in terms of how should it be shown on screen and stuff. I even attempted to make a short movie when I had no experience or thoughts about how actually a movie is shot. The movie was a comedy english short movie of 30 mins and went on to be a superhit short movie of that time. That ofcourse encouraged me to do more such stuff and get into mainstream cinema soon :)
  • Celebreties , Ah.. Dont know whether its a bad habit or good habit. But Iam crazy about celebreties. I love them as everyone else does. But I just dont love them and end it there, I try to make contact, Let them know about me and try to involve in what they are doing and help them out, if in any case they are in need of something. When celebreties say something to me, I always obey them because I beleive they have already acheived something very much more than me and I wont face any problem if I obey them. An other feeling I have about celebrities is, We need to give them back something, if not anything.. atleast the honest friendship… for all that they have done for us, be it entertainment or social service. Ya, I beleive media is fun.
  • Chatting, Speaking over phone! Chatting is the only way that people like us, (software engineers) can develop social networking at this age. People chat to me, I chat to new people etc etc keeps happening everyday and many of them share their phone numbers which results in messaging/calling them up and keeping in touch.
  • Hosting Shows : Have tried such a thing in local events. Have even co-hosted a bit of shows on Radio too. (co-RJ!). I like doing this, as you get to speak whatever comes to your heart.  Lets see if I can continue doing this.
  • Designing : Graphics Designing , Web Designing., Video editing. As I like exploring new software, I have learnt to use software related to photos, videos, audio etc ! Photoshop is one thing that I would like to make a mention here apart from video editing and audio composing softwares.
  • Photography : Even though Iam not a photographer who owns an SLR camera or something, I like doing photography with whatever camera I have. I basically love maintaining e-albums. My HUGE Albums are quite popular on networking sites ;) ! hehehe

Besides all this, I dont like travelling , but I love visiting new places (how to visit , without travelling?? You give me the idea pls :D ) . I like to collect photos of actresses ! Lol there is a specific boyzone of maja maadi on internet for this !

Oh much has been talked about myself, by myself here! I will let my friends speak about me too. Aah.. But if I put my Friends’ tesimonials here, this blog will become so long that It would take forever to load. Here is the link! Complete this PAGE if you can ;) ! Challenge ;) !

Nammalle obba Superman, Raghu Dixit

March 13, 2009

Its been complete 8 months now, since I have known Raghu Dixit personally as my friend. If you want answers to how was my experience when I met him the first time, look at this : http://abhisheksn.wordpress.com/2008/07/24/raghu-dixit-the-man-i-met/

Hmm back to Business now ;) ! This blog would be all about my experience with the tracks of SUPERMAN movie which I heard today at Raghu’s place.

Superman

Superman

Superman is a movie being made keeping Prajwal Devaraj and Radhika Pandit in lead roles, directed by Prabha. The most interesting part of the movie is, Raghu dixit is the music director of the movie !

As of today, Raghu is done with all the tunes, and has finalised/recorded one of the songs completely. The rest of the songs would be finalised very soon. I visited Raghu personally today to have a preview of the album in his studio/house.

Here is an exclusive preview of the outstanding songs in the album!

There would be 8 songs in the movie totally. Out of which Raghu would sing 2 of them finally. Another impressive factor about this movie album is that, Vishaal (Vishaal-Shekar bollywood fame) has sung a song in the movie.

Minuminuguva Nakshatra is a peppy song with western rock effects with the typical “Raghu Dixit” kind of tune to it! This is song sung by Vishaal. The song starts with a “launch note”, and hence seems to be an introduction song. The perfect bang-bangs in the song and the tune impressed me too much. This is even the title song of the movie!

Ee Manavu is a duet song. Wow, I kept thinking about A R Rehman, all through the song. Dont ask me explanations here… ! “A R Rehman” word says it all i guess ! Haricharan and Saindhavi have been teamed up for this duet and they have ended up in creating a more magical song than it was with their combination in Psycho.

Its a superlife.. is the song, which seems like a montage song, sung by Shwetha Mohan . Her voice sounds like Slow poison.. Hee Hee, ofcourse, in the positive sense.. ! The line “its a superlifeee” keeps echoing now and then in the song in “masth”-manner !! Its sung by Raghu Dixit. This is the song which would have the voices of Radhika Pandit and Prajwal devraj recorded for the song. Very good song.

Wait Wait… Are you thinking, Why am I praising all those songs ?? ! I have no other way.. I tried to be a CRITIC .. But seriously friends, all of the songs seems to be perfect and I would love to give 10 out 10 for the album. But lets just wait for the mastered copy to get released and then give the points ;) ! What say ? ! Lets get back to review part now ;) !

Nalinaliva ..This song is a slow – dream song. Play this song and close your eyes… You surely be in a different world. I liked the way, a very unique kind of western humming happens in the middle of charaNa.(unique to kannada songs).

Ha Ha Ha. He He He.. DankaNakaNNa DankaNaa.. ! Ayyo yenappa idu?? What happnd!? Ofcourse, Raghu Dixit’s next song is driving me mad ! Its an African-Jamaican DankanakkaNNa (foreign tappangucchi) song. The lyrics were not ready and hence Raghu had jammed the tune with his own funny and dummy lyrics. I would love to see this getting pushed first on Radio channels when the audio is released! Yes, I have a reason ;) !

The Climax song is a  completely DIFFERENT song which seems to be a stage performance of the actress on stage in the movie! Its a complete “western-classical Orchestra” song. Iam very much excited about this song as this song would be recorded in kaLasa studios in Chennai and would be a recorded with a LIVE 60 PIECE WESTERN ORCHESTRA. The western violin steals the show in the music along with the piano tunes. Iam sure a huge applause for this great effort is awaiting to reach Raghu.

The 8th song, ( Iam sorry, this is the last :( ..! WANT MOOOOOOOORE! but cant help .. hee hee ) is a song to be shown during the last scene and moves on to CREDITS of the movie. The best part about this is, a beautiful flute has been used in the song. I listened to this part of the song repeatedly in his studio. Loved it !

Truly an exceptional… Now begins, High hopes on the movie. “ALL the BEST” to Prajwal and rest of the team ! (No use of telling “all the best” to Raghu.. as the music has proved me that , its already the BEST ! :D )

I know there is one thing missing in this review.. thats the LYRICS.. Sorry friends, I cant comment about the lyrics.. Actually dint concentrate on that :) . But Iam sure Raghu Dixit would have chosen the best of the lyrics in to his music ! :)

Raghu asked me finally, what do you think about the album? I was SHY to tell the TRUTH to him. I said its a very good album and it would be a hit ! Dont ask me, “Aaah? what did you mean!?!”. Read the next sentence ;) !

THE Truth is here … “DUDE.!!. A R Rehman of kannada is here… Each of his Albums are fantastic.. and this one is exceptional..! Iam waiting to have my copy of the CD at home.. It would be a sure shot HIT music… DONT MISS IT FRIENDS” !

Iam sorry for “comparing” or addressing Raghu Dixit with A R Rehman… (bcoz every person/music director, has his own unique style)! But for me, A R Rehman is a genius.. and Hence its a personal comment !

So wait for the album to get released. Must be a month’s time for it to get released! Lets all enjoy this album together when it gets releases :) ! Get ready to listen to the super 8 magical music tracks of Raghu.

A Day @ Innovative Film City

March 8, 2009

Note: Click on the photos to enlarge. I guess this is the biggest photo review of IFC for this time until now :)

I had heard enough and more about Innovative Film city (IFC) near Bangalore, through my friends and some blogs on internet. Incidentally, I was free on the weekend and I decided to visit this place with my wife. My wife, after knowing that there are no scary rides at the place as in WonderLa etc, agreed to visit the place. We left our house in J P Nagar by around 9.30am and reached Innovative film city by 10.45am. Its located just before BiDadi, around 2 kms from mysore road towards left when you travel from Bangalore on Mysore Road. (I think around 25 kms on Mysore road)

The entry of Innovative Film City looks very grand built in old european Style.. Looks truly like film set and also decorated with posters of the attractions inside. The Entry price is Rs.50 per head and Rs.100 per camera too! There around 10 main attractions inside, each of them costs around 50 to 100 rupees each. Hence we decided to go for a VIP Ticket which would enable us to enjoy all the attractions inside with that one ticket, but only once each. It costs 700 rupees per head.

As we entered, we had to walk through the MAIN STREET of the IFC. This also looked like an imitation of European main streets ;) with buildings on the street constructed in that manner and also the fountains and idols made resembled them.

We passed through the small Theme Restaurant based on Moulin Rouge, which is also seen in Paris. Right next to it is the INNOVATIVE TALKIES.  This is a replication of old styled Touring Talkies which used to tour villages to show cinema. The replication is so good that the shop and toilets made next to it also resemle them old village shops and toilets. The entry ticket was 10 rupees to watch an old movie in touring talkies. There were 3 classes inside (KURCHI, BENCHU, NELA). We sat on BENCHU class and watched scenes of MUGHAL-E-AZAM movie. It was a very nice experience to watch the movie in village tent kind of environment.

Next was the FOSSIL MUSEUM that we visited. It is the museum which has and explains all about fossils and remains of animals of the dinosaur age. The main attraction in this is the big dinosour skeleton made out of iron ! Only suitable for kids. Not at all for adults.

DINO PARK was right next to it, But the environment was made really like a dense forest which was full of various species of dinosaurs. The Dinosaur models were of life size and were made to look like real. All of them were even made to move, shout such that it gives a feeling that they are real ones.

The next was the fantastic museum of RIPLEY’s BELIEVE it or NOT.  Its the first Ripley’s believe it or not museum in India. It has a complete collection of all the unbelievable stuff collection of items (some of them are duplicated) and photo collection of Ripley. It was great fun to watch all of them ! The main highlights was the Ripley’s Ghost. It just appears from nowhere and sits on the chair, welcomes everyone, Opens a book, Turns the globe and vanishes. A very good use of technology. One more interesting stuff was the Crystal which is visble, would not be there if we try to touch it! One more vert enjoyable and astonishing stuff is a ’still bridge’ around which a colorful huge cylinder rotates. Once you start walking on the bridge, you feel like that you are rotating along with the bridge and not the bridge. Even though you know that the bridge is still, you feel like falling down big time, and hence you catch the railings and start shouting! Rest of all of  them were some of the special unbelievable and exciting collections of Ripley. (like the five legged cow, 2 headed calf etc ).

LOUIS TUSSUAD’s WAX MUSEUM was the next thing we chose to enter. This had the wax models of all famous celebrities. Although they were not as accurate as it is in the Wax museum at London, it was quite attractive. Some of the very good wax models included Albert Einstien, Dalai Lama, Adolf Hitler, Walt Disney, Beatles, Elvis etc. Bad ones were Gandhiji, Mother Theresa, Angelina Jolie, Julia Roberts, Nelson Mandela etc. But it was ok, we enjoyed all of them by taking photos! :)

Outside the wax museum was a place where they you create a wax model of your palm. All you have to do is dip your hand inside hot wax and dip it in water. Repeat it twice, then the person would remove the wax mask on your hand, stuff it and cool it for 45 mins and give it to you. We dint go for this as there was not much time. The time was already 1.30pm by then! We went to the FOOD COURT at IFC to have lunch. There is wide variety of restaurants starting from Udupi Ananda Bhavana , Andhra Style, Tandoori food, Khyber Pass, Pizza corner, McDonald’s and some other continental food too. We quickly ate some pizzas, had a drink and continued our journey towards exploring more inside IFC.

It was the 4D MOVIE at FUNPLEX that we were interested about next. You might have heard about 3D movies, where you wear a special spectacles and watch the screen wherein it looks like things on the screen at coming over you and are real. 4D is an extension to it wherein a similar environment is created around you as the environment in on the screen. Eg: If mice are popping out of the screen on to you (in 3d), then lot of air blowers blow air on your body in discreete fashion , so that you feel that the mice are jumping on your body. It was very good experience, but I had expected MORE!

We had to skip ROLLER SKATES as it seemed to be only for experienced Skaters. We skipped even HAUNTED MANSION , as it is supposed to be very very scary and Shilpa was not ready to get in. But I am sure it would be a great stuff for the scary thrills.

Haunted Mansion

Finally we chose to enter the most exciting thing that I was waiting for. It was the MIRROR MAZE. Its a maze wherein we are let in to the dark room with full of mirrors. The only source of light would be the small zero-watted serial lights around the mirrors and openings. Everything look alike, both the opening and the mirror. Hence its tough to figure out where exactly you yourself are and which way should be take to find out the exit. Caution : Dont run inside this room as you might get hit by a mirror which actually looks like there is nothing stopping us. Even while I was very much extra-cautious by being alert and sacrificing the fun for sometime, so that I should find a way out and not get hit by a mirror, I was decived couple of times shamefully by the mirros! LOL. We keep coming back to the same location, multiple times before we actually find the exit. We keep meeting the same people who are also lost like us, multiple times. It was a very funny and exciting search to find the exit in the world of mirrors. We took 20 mins to get out of the maze.

Mirror Maze

After so much fun at the mirror maze, we went towards MINIATURE CITY, where you have miniature models of some of the famous wonders of the world including great wall of china, one big waterfalls, Eiffel Tower etc. There were also miniature models of a city with lots of Roads on which vehicles are moving, a train moving on a railway track, railway stations, underpass, Flyovers etc. The miniature model of a Airport was one more good thing. Choose this if want to be lonely ;) (with probably your girlfriend) or if you have lot of time still left to explore the IFC. Some of the attractions like Amphitheatre, Garden, Mock sets which are next to the miniature city are good to see.

Right after this, it was the VIRTUAL REALITY GAMES that we played at Funplex. I played the twister game,  Bike Race Virtual Reality game , Stunt Racing Car Virtual Reality game. Shilpa and me later played the never ending PINBALL game too.

I had never been to Go Karting ever. IFC has a Go Karting zone with racing cars at a section, VELOCITY.  We were given 4 laps to cover per ticket. It was total fun to race the cars all through the circuit showing off all stunts I could within those 4 laps ;) !

Velocity

We went on to the MINI GOLF court. The coach taught how to play golf. We got a golf bat and ball each. Inside the mini golf court, various kind of sub courts for each hole in different styles and shapes. But ultimate aim of each court was one hole in 3 pars. I got the hole in 3 pars for around 4 courts out of around 15 courts which were there. Shilpa too got one ;) !

MINI GOLF

It was already around 5.30pm by now. So we rushed towards AQUA KINGDOM to look at the Beach. The beach was not similar to other simulated beaches in other amusement parks, because of the fact that, even the sea shore was simulated with all that beach sand, beach chairs all over. As we dint have a change of dress, we dint get inside the beach water completely.

Beach

It was 6pm now, and we had to cover 2 more attractions. It was the CARTOON CITY, which had all the normal amusement rides that you find in an national consumer fair. Me and shilpa dint miss Dashing Car there which is our favourite.

The final attraction in IFC that we watched was WILD WILD WEST. It was a replica of the village of Mexicans in something like the movie “Good, Bad and Ugly style” , i.e the cowboy style. Horse Stables, Sheriff Office, Mexican cowboy theme restaurant, Cowboy cottages, Houses made it look just like being on Good bad and ugly movie sets. You are even given a Rifle and let to shoot the far away placed bottles if you like shooting!

After all, it was 6.45pm and we decided to leave the place. Overall, IFC is a well maintained and is completely facilitated. Its worth the money even though it looks like it is a little expensive. Soft Drinks, Popcorn, sugarcane juice outlets are present in every corner of the area. Lots of attractions like Wannado city are still under construction.

Do visit IFC once :)

January 30, 2009

Friends, You have seen me writing so many kinds of poems.. (Many of them I have blogged).. Romantic poems, Friendship poems, Brother-sister poems, Nature, Politics, Feelings, Comedy poems etc!

Some people who chat with me regulary would have even got to know how many silly PJ poems I write on the fly lol.. Not that they are great, But Iam happy to say that I have tried all these kinds of poems myself and am not influenced by anyone else’s poems. Iam sure of this because, I dont have the habit of reading at all. Then where will “influence” come from LOLZ…

Today I got a very WIERD idea! It was, let me try writing a CLEAN and CLEAR 18+ poem ! BUT NO DOUBLE MEANING ;) yella straightu.. artha aadre maaDkoLLi annohaage :D

18+ ?? ! Soft PORNaa ?? I dont know what you call it.. But I recommend only 18+ to read this! :) So go ahead guys and read this..  No one has tried such things or atleast am not aware of any such poem :D So this is my first try in writing 18+ poems.. ! So read and SURELY comment on it Please!

Its sequence where a male sees a female getting DRENCHED in RAIN, and imagines that the rain drops are molesting the female! and instead he wants to get that chance ;) ! I have told the same poetically :)
